Health Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana highlighted that 12 percent of the elderly population in Sri Lanka have lost all their teeth, emphasizing the crucial need for dental health education at the school level. Speaking at an event commemorating World Oral Health Day, the minister underscored the significance of maintaining oral health throughout one’s life. He expressed concern over the prevalence of oral cancer cases in the country and stressed the importance of adopting proper health habits to prevent such diseases.
