Maldivian Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer to Visit Sri Lanka for Bilateral Talks

Maldives’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moosa Zameer, is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka from June 3 to 6, according to Maldivian media reports.

The visit comes at the invitation of Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabry. During his stay, Minister Zameer will have courtesy meetings with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, as stated by the Maldivian Foreign Ministry.

Minister Zameer will also engage in bilateral discussions with Foreign Minister Sabry, focusing on enhancing conveniences for Maldivians residing in Sri Lanka.

Accompanying Minister Zameer on this trip will be Maldives Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheryna Abdul Samad, Additional Secretary Shiruzimath Sameer, and Director General Aishath Fareena.

This marks Zameer’s first official visit to Sri Lanka since assuming the role of Foreign Minister.
