Today, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara announced that the Ministry of Power and Energy and the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) have issued a call for proposals through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) for the establishment of a 50MW Wind Farm facility in Mannar.
The Minister stated that requests for proposals have been publicly advertised.
“The ICB invites capable developers with the financial and technical expertise to construct a 50MW Wind Farm Facility in Mannar under a Build, Own, and Operate (BOO) basis,” he shared in X.
The Minister also specified that the deadline for proposal submissions is May 9th, 2024.
