The National Consumer Front (NCF) has announced today that the retail selling prices of various vegetables have surged.
According to the NCF, the price of a kilogram of carrots has risen to Rs. 450, leeks to Rs. 350, beans to Rs. 430, and tomatoes to Rs. 300.
In light of these increases, NCF Chairman Asela Sampath has urged the public to abstain from purchasing vegetables during this festive season.
