Police Emergency Hotline Launched for Northern and Eastern Provinces

Today marks the introduction of a police emergency hotline specifically tailored for the Northern and Eastern provinces. This initiative follows directives from Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles and Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Tennakoon.

Complaints from residents of the Northern and Eastern provinces can now be lodged via the hotline number 107. The hotline will be operational round the clock and will accommodate complaints in Tamil, catering to the linguistic needs of the region.

Under the supervision of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, this program aims to enhance accessibility to emergency services and ensure prompt response to grievances within the Northern and Eastern provinces.
