The Sri Lankan government has declared the commencement of a new application window for its ongoing Aswesuma relief program, with the goal of providing assistance to an additional 2.4 million families starting in June 2024.
State Minister of Finance, Shehan Semasinghe, underscored that the program is designed to reach families who were previously ineligible for relief but now meet the revised eligibility criteria.
The State Minister confirmed that applications will be accepted starting today.
