Sri Lankan Rupee Shows Marginal Appreciation Against Gulf Currencies

The Sri Lankan Rupee has experienced a slight appreciation against various Gulf currencies today, February 19, compared to the rates observed last Friday. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka reports that the Rupee has specifically strengthened against the UAE’s Dirham, witnessing a decrease in the selling rate to Rs. 85.06.

While the Rupee has displayed fluctuations against several other foreign currencies, it has also exhibited a marginal appreciation against the US Dollar during this period. The currency market dynamics continue to evolve, influencing the exchange rates and reflecting the ongoing trends in international currency markets.
