State Minister of Finance, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, has revealed that steps are underway to elevate the interest rate of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) from the current 9% to 13%, effective from 2023.
The minister assures that the payment of a 13% interest rate for the EPF will be guaranteed for the year 2023, attributing this enhancement to the commendable investment performance of the fund.
