State Minister of Finance, Shehan Semasinghe, announced that the United States has reiterated its unwavering support to Sri Lanka in the debt restructuring process. Taking to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Semasinghe revealed a productive bilateral meeting with Mr. Robert Kaproth, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury, held during the ADB (Asian Development Bank) annual meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In the discussion, Semasinghe noted that the progress made in the debt restructuring process was extensively reviewed. Additionally, Mr. Kaproth emphasized the importance of persisting with reforms to foster a stable economy and avert future crises.
